Summer Glory is a patented hybrid — a cross of an unnamed hybrid philodendron with Philodendron gloriosum, bred by LariAnn specifically for its distinctive color, durability, and pest resistance. The magic is in the transformation: new leaves unfurl in gorgeous reddish-bronze, coppery, and rosy tones, emerging from a red protective cataphyll (a nod to its gloriosum parent), then slowly mature into deep, shiny green with striking veining and rich red undersides. So the plant always wears a warm, glowing new leaf up top settling into jungle green below. It stays upright and glossy, making a bold, sculptural statement, and thanks to that gloriosum parentage it's more colorful and lustrous than your average self-heading philodendron.
