Introduced as a recognized cultivar, it has quickly captured the attention of aroid enthusiasts due to its dramatic, layered structural mutations and distinct foliage. Unlike a standard, smooth-leaved Frydek, the Tattoo boasts an edgy, heavily sculpted look
Sculpted Leaf Surface & Edges: The foliage features an embossed, uneven surface and deeply undulating, ruffled leaf margins that give the leaves a distinct wave-like texture
The "Tattoo" Markings: Its most defining characteristic is found on the abaxial (underside) of the leaf. Irregular, inky, silver-grey to pale cream mottling spans between the veins, creating an intricate pattern that resembles tattoo artwork
Layered Contrast: The classic, bold white-to-cream primary venation of the Frydek lineage remains perfectly intact. This bright framing contrasts sharply against both the rich, velvety emerald-green ground color and the pale underlying variegation layers
Growth Habit: It maintains a relatively compact, upright growth habit, typically topping out around 40 to 60 cm (15 to 24 inches) indoors, making it easier to manage on a shelf than larger Alocasia species
